STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Societies
Students of Applied Mathematics participate in a wide range of student societies and clubs including the Astronomy Society, the Computer Society and the Mathematics Society.
Mathematical Contest in Modeling
Since 1991, students of mathematical physics have participated very successfully in an International Mathematical Contest in Modeling. This involves two teams each of whom must complete a written report over three and a half days on their mathematical solution to a given "real world" problem. The
MCM has become a major event in the calendar for our students.
